RB1-13 Additional FIVER Tests

An additional series of tests have been conducted on a 30° tube bundle equipped with FIVERs to extend the operating range of a shell-and-tube heat exchanger before flow-induced vibration occurs. These tests complement earlier tests conducted with a 90° bundle similarly equipped and reported in Research Brief 1-10. The results of both tests demonstrate the effectiveness of FIVERs and provide the basis for design recommendations.
