We are often asked how to use Xist^™ for condensation of immiscible mixtures, such as steam and hydrocarbons. HTRI investigated this subject about 15 years ago and presented some proposals at that time. We also plan additional research in this area in the future. In the meantime, because of apparent uncertainty as to the best approach for this important application, we have summarized all our previous information for easy reference in this article. Here we review existing data, fundamental mechanisms, available methods, and the recommended procedure for using HTRI Xchanger Suite^® to predict condensation rates for immiscible mixtures.
