This article summarizes vertical intube dry-wall flow boiling criteria and methods used in IST 2.0. It reports recent improvements and expansions to HTRI dry-wall criteria and methods, discusses IST’s prediction of HTRI vertical thermosiphon reboiler data at or near dry-wall flow boiling conditions, and provides recommendations for further research in these areas.
