Abstract:

The experimental studies for plate heat exchangers carried out between 1985 and 1988 by HTRI are reported. Equations are developed which represent the Design Manual f-j_Nu-Re curves and correlate the HTRI data with standard deviations of 6.9% and 8.7% for f and j_Nu, respectively.
