A literature review and analysis is presented on pressure drop and heat transfer row effects in finned tube banks. Published open literature and Heat Transfer Research, Inc. (HTRI) information are summarized with reference to pressure drop and heat transfer performance variations with a number of tuberows. Available data and correlations are analyzed in order to identify the most appropriate approach for predictive purposes. Effects of parameters which influence row effects are identified and discussed.
