HTRI collected data for falling film evaporation in a vertical tube using five test fluids. This report discusses available pressure drop methods and correlations for intube falling film evaporators and investigates correlations for liquid film thickness and void fraction. The report also documents an improved pressure drop method based on the HTRI falling film evaporation data.
